People have mentioned it rains here a lot and I haven’t found that to be true, but we are in “dry” season. The rain interrupted a BBQ once for all of five minutes…and we’ve had one big storm, a few quick sprinkles, and medium one which is what the following video shows. It lasted maybe ten minutes?
I’m not sure what all the rain hype is about. The discouraging thing about the rain here is it doesn’t cool anything down like it would in New England.
Our landlord is super big on us closing the windows when it rains even during quick bursts, but most of them angle outward or have shutters in front. I can understand during big storms and our big sliding doors, but we haven’t seen anything come through yet. We must have 20+ windows so by the time I finished closing I’d be opening them again. I’ll keep you posted if we end up paying for water damage one day.
In general, it has been really hot lately. You wouldn’t know just by looking at the temperature, but if you were here and noticed the lack of wind which really helps keep things from being insanely sticky you’d understand.
